20 LTC homes to reach this week

We read the Ministry's public inspection reports for every LTC home in Ontario. Homes with recent IPAC problems are the most likely to need IPAC training now. Prepared for Kam and Emma.

Start with these 3

The most IPAC compliance orders, the Ministry's strongest action.

How to read the list

How serious each home's citations were, and what Emma does next.

Compliance order

The Ministry formally ordered the home to fix an IPAC problem by a deadline. The strongest signal.

IPAC finding

An inspector cited the home for not meeting an IPAC rule. One square per finding.

How Emma reaches the home: from Zoho, through the operator, or after research.

No SPGF plan requests yet. The funding page goes live Tuesday, Nov 3. From next week, this page also shows who asked for a plan and what Emma did, and which homes are new on the list.

How homes are picked

At least one IPAC citation in a Ministry inspection report issued since Oct 24, 2024. Ministry data read Oct 24, 2026 (newest report Sep 24, 2026). Ranked by compliance orders, then findings, then beds. Left out: homes already paying ICICP, homes where every contact opted out, Sienna, Extendicare, peopleCare, and groups with more than 15 homes.

A tip for every call

Use the inspection history to prepare. Never open the conversation with it.

Three quick questions for you, Kam

A one-line answer to each is plenty. Reply to Soroush's email.

  1. Who is this list for? ICICP College (training paid with SPGF funding), Infection Shield (consulting), or both as two separate lists? The homes left out today are the ones already paying ICICP.
  2. Is this the right order? Today the homes with the most Ministry compliance orders come first, then the most IPAC findings, then the bigger homes. If something else matters more to you, for example how recent the problem is, we change the order.
  3. Skip groups with more than 15 homes? You asked us to skip them for Infection Shield. Should we skip them for the College too? This takes out 51 homes today.
